About Skater Marine Canal / Narrowboat Builders

Skater Marine started life in 2006 and we have now opened a steel factory in Aintree, Liverpool, this way we are in total control of the canal and narrowboats from start to finish. Being in total control from the beginning means that the outcome of our hulls will be first class every time. We are the first company to design a sliding hatch which is waterproof, many companies have trouble getting them leak proof yet we have managed to do it.

At Skater Marine we believe in giving value for money with high class steel work, exceptional fitting out and what we believe to be the best paint work on the canals. Our shells are made by some of the best welders in the industry who have over 15 years experience in building canal boats. They are highly skilled tradesmen and take great pride in their work. All our woodwork and interiors are built to the greatest standards with the full interior woodwork being handmade. Solid wood is used throughout the fit out along with plywood and block board. Customers can chose their preferred finish i.e. oak, ash, beech how ever if you require something different this can be arranged.
